Recently, it brought me to Meta’s new feature: creating AI character models. Naturally, I had to try it out, and here’s the result:

How do I feel about this?
Fascinated because we’re living in an era where immense knowledge is just a prompt away, and AI is emerging as an incredible ally in facilitating us in our day-to-day lives.AI chatbots resonate with me deeply, especially since my research was on Chatbot Companionship and their impact on Mental health. I’ll share more about it in an upcoming post—stay tuned! π
Do I think AI could “take over” my profession?
What I bring to the table—the ability to connect, build trust, create a safe space, help people express the uneasy emotions that have been holding them back, and facilitate them on their healing journey—is inherently human and cannot be replicated by AI.AI is a great tool, but it can never replace the connection and understanding that come with human-to-human interaction.
Still, what do I think about chatbots?
For me, AI is a tool and an ally—a way to amplify what therapists already do. These models are evolving, and while they’re not perfect, they hold immense potential to assist humanity at a technological level. However, when it comes to the deeply human aspects of healing, only fellow humans can provide that. Will I let an AI take sessions in my place?
I’m passionate about being there for people on their healing journeys, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. Counseling isn’t just about guiding—it’s about being with them in the process. When clients later share how it’s helping them, that feeling of facilitating change in their lives? It’s immense satisfaction. That’s why my testimonial section is under the heading “Therapeutic Testimonials.”
My clients’ testimonials mean the world to me. They remind me that I’m a part of someone’s story and growth. I want to continue being the person they look back on with pride, knowing they made the right choice in trusting me with their healing journey.
A final thought on technology:
I love technology, and I encourage you to embrace it too. If we resist, we may one day be forced to adapt—just as we were during COVID. Progress is inevitable, and the choice to adapt early is ours. The future is intertwined with innovation. Let’s move forward, together.
