Finding Your Way: Values, Passions, and Self-Reflection

Finding Your Way: Values, Passions, and Self-Reflection

SEEKER: IT'S 2022 NOW I'M DEPRESSED
Those who are new to the concept of Seeker🔭-🧭Compass, lemme tell you in short: I’m a Passionate Psychology student, my Seekers ANONYMOUSLY ask me questions & I address them.

The people who look for help, assistance & guidance, I call them “Seekers.”

I got this question yesterday night, there is a lot of information that is needed to address this but I don’t have that information & as always, no idea about the seeker.

I can understand what it means to be lost & don’t know what to do, I have been in such a situation, it is not surprising if one feels depressed, hopeless, worthless... because this situation is like this.

If you were in this situation what you should do, you shall figure out:

1) Your core values:

Our core values are our life directions, the qualities, beliefs, or principles that guide our lives.

My biggest core value is helping others, it has always been & always will be the same.

So, what’s your core value? What is that which you hold close to your heart?

2) Your passion:

Is there anything you are passionate about? Anything which could do day in & day out, with a feeling of self-satisfaction, pride...

Something that drives you, something for which you don’t need external motivation.

My passion is Psychology & it comes from the heart; it also serves as my core value.

3) Your interests:

At any given point (unless we are not depressed) we have loads of interests, our job is to list them down and pick the dearest to us.

I’m a multipotentialite with interest & a bit of goodness in loads of areas but I do have psychology as an interest that is most dear to me.

4) Your hobbies:

Success is often seen when hobbies get converted into professions, so think about hobbies that may help you to build a career.

Apart from that, one should have hobbies, things which they enjoy doing without feeling guilt/regret later.

Again, I have loads of hobbies, but most dear to me is my reading habit to which I had devoted a day from my week, it’s known as Reading Wednesday 🤓

The seeker also asked me to suggest some career options, & I can’t suggest, as I don’t know about his/her educational background, subjects, interests, strengths...

I would strongly recommend the seeker & reader to do their SWOT Analysis.

I will soon make a digital version of it to share with you guys, meanwhile, you guys can google it.
